Technical Sales Support Manager (m/f/d)

Mobility is the goal:

Schindler is seaking a Technical Sales Support Manager for its Data Driven and Digital Products. This position is specialized in driving sales and supporting e.g. Large Account Managers on a global scale. Technical Sales Manager play a part in every stage of the sales process - from planning the sales script to closing the sale. New technology comes on the scene seemingly every day, so success in this position requires passion about the IoT industry.

 

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Consult Global and National Account Manager prior to and during tender processe
  • Analyze customer tender requirements, map to our existing product offering
  • Collaborate with our different technical experts to elaborate a customer-specific offering resp. solution
  • Allocate and create technical content and bidding documents and/or offers based on project/customer specifications
  • Continuously train and develop Key Account and Sales Teams incl. the provision of sales support material
  • Coordinate the handover from sales to project fulfillment
  • Gather, analyze and prioritize customer/market insights for future product developments
 

Mobility needs you:

Education/experience:

  • 5+ years experience in B2B sales and/or sales support in the area of software engineering
  • Good understanding of and interest in the IoT landscape (connected sensor and devices on edge networks, cloud systems etc.)
  • Ideally experience in software and protocols for building automation (like BACnet, OPC, KNX etc.)
  • Engineering degree or successful accomplished technical apprentice with additional technical education
  • Business administration qualification or commercial experience is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and a structure working method

 

Job related technical skills & functional knowledge:

  • BACnet, OPC experience and knowledgable about APIs
  • Knowledge about project management methods and tools
  • Profound knowledge of sales management principles
  • Sound knowledge of office tools e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Strong in execution of task and focused on in-time delivery of results
  • Culturally sensitive and ability to view situations from different perspectives
  • Problem solving skills

 

Communication requirements:

  • Solid command of written and verbal English
  • Knowledge of additional languages a plus
