Join us as a

SAIS/CPSI5 Inspector

We are currently recruiting for a SAIS/CPIS5 Inspector to join our Team in Dublin on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be able to confirm, demonstrate and prove that a lift or escalator is safe to be put into service, complies with the relevant codes and is in accordance with Schindler's quality standards.


Duties & Responsibilites:

  • To ensure all tasks are performed and supporting personnel work in a safe manner and in accordance with agreed methods & procedures.
  • To ensure all new & modernised installations are tested efficiently and to the required standards. Also ensuring all test documentation is accurately completed and sent to the technical administrator within an agreed timescale
  • To ensure defects identified during the test are recorded on the OIL and that they have been suitably corrected before the installation is handed over. This will also help achieve customer satisfaction and the required MTBC rate for that product
  • To ensure, if certified to perform CPSI5 Inspections, all existing installations are periodically inspected efficiently and to the required standards. Also ensuring the inspection findings are accurately recorded and reported to the Branch Technical Managers within an agreed timescale
  • To provide technical support to NI, MOD & EI as requested by the Technical Manager. Also ensuring the findings are accurately recorded and reported to the relevant Managers within an agreed timescale
  • To work alone or as part of a group, to resolve any technical issues as requested by the Test/Technical Manage
  • To assist in distributing technical information as requested by the Test/Technical Manager
  • To assist in the CAR process, by providing feedback and investigating safety relevant & systematic problems
  • To assist with Retrofit actions as requested by the Test/Technical Manager. Also ensuring all completed actions are accurately recorded and reported back to the relevant Manager within an agreed timescale
  • To assist with technical training as requested by the Test/Technical Manager.  Also ensuring the required training records and documents of collated and forwarded to the Technical Training Manager within an agreed timescale
