Import & Export Manager m/f (80-100%)


We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

Within Supply Chain Europe Organization the Import & Export Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper execution of the Import-Export related activities of the organization in the most effective manner, optimizing costs and aligning with legal requirements. Main tasks include:


  • Ensuring the proper execution of the Import-Export related activities for the Supply Chain Europe flows
  • Continuous improvement of the utilization process of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and to identify new saving opportunities for Import & Export
  • Reviewing and developing enhancements to Company’s existing trade compliance program
  • Ensuring master data maintenance: supplier origin, material HS code collaborating with Manufacturing, INDU, Procurement and Customer Service
  • Leading and coordinating application of legal procedure for Export control for banned and restricted countries and dual use
  • Maintaining manufactured product catalogues for customs purposes
  • Developing team members and upgrade existing skills and performace according to the requirements
  • Performing preliminary origin assessment (REP’s) and Economic analysis for new product or specific business cases


Work location could be either in Ebikon LU oder Locarno TI.

You are a motivated self-starter with good communication skills and the ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects including setting scope, reaching consensus, executing on tasks and presenting results. Further requirements may include:


  • Academic background (degree or equivalent) in a relevant field  
  • 7 – 12+ years of relevant work experience in the field of customs & trade
  • 3+ years leading in a similar function within a complex International matrix organization
  • Extensive knowledge of the Swiss, EU and International Customs laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of tariff classification, free trade agreements, export controls (sanctions and dual-use) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver novel and practical solutions to solve complex supply chain / logistics issues
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP and experience with implementing (or at a minimum utilizing) databases and enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) global trade automation solutions
  • Good language Skills in English, any additional language of advantage
