We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

Schindler is committed to deliver reliable products and services to guarantee long-term user satisfaction and to achieve our product’s field quality goal. In this role you support the development of new components and systems by assessing and providing coaching on the field of reliability and functional safety for the global elevator business.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Support and coach R&D department during development of new products on reliability or functional safety tasks such as Critical Item List (CIL), Design FMEA, RAM prediction and others.
  • Moderation and review of CIL and D-FMEA
  • Analyse market or customer requirements linked to product reliability and prepare design specifications in all phases of product life cycle.
  • Assess reliability and functional safety during development and field monitoring.
  • Assess reliability performance during customers tenders.
  • Develop, introduce, and maintain process and training linked to reliability and functional safety.

 Further requirements may include:

 

  • Bachelor’s or preferably master’s degree in engineering with specialization or relevant experience in the area or reliability
  • Experienced in definition, allocation, prediction and demonstration of system and component reliability and maintainability targets.
  • Experienced in Functional Safety management including SIL allocation and verification according IEC61508.
  • Expert in DFMEA moderation
  • Risk-based mindset: focus on failure/risk prevention and failure/risk avoidance
  • Fluency in English
