Mechanical Engineer R&D Machines m/f (80 - 100 %)

 

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for the mechanical design and development of electrical machines and brakes as well as the analysis and correction of defects. Main tasks include:

 

  • Developing designs for new component and defining interfaces under consideration of overall system architecture, requirements and production constraints (e.g., cost, quality, space and manufacturing)
  • Performing root-cause analysis for findings in collaboration with R&D testing teams and/or field representatives
  • Maintaining existing components by implementing defect fixes and improvements and documenting product changes in SAP and other release management tools
  • Creating and maintaining the 3D model with the defined tool and according to defined methodology
  • Creating and maintaining the product structure in SAP
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and other Engineers globally by sharing information pro-actively and enforcing the team's development standards and design principles

You are a highly motivated teamplayer with strong analytical skills and systematic thinking. Further requirements may include:

 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in general Mechanical 
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and FEM calculation methods
  • Very good knowledge of 3D CAD Development Software and drawing creation according to international standards
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Proficient language skills in German and English
