We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate out-of-the-box thinking engineer. As a part of a motivated team of engineers in our head-quarter in Ebikon, you will be responsible for the design, development, and product life cycle management of mechanical components. This includes technical project leadership as well as planning and management of assigned tasks.

 

Your main tasks include:

 

  • Develop designs for new components and solutions and define interfaces under consideration of overall system architecture, requirements, risks and production constraints

  • Analyze business, market and code requirements, align with stakeholders, and derive technical requirements

  • Derive multiple technical solutions for a given problem (including root cause analysis) with existing components and provide corresponding effort estimations, quality, cost and feasibility considerations in cooperation with our stakeholders

  • Technical lead of project, managing quality, cost and timeline of related projects.

  • Ensure quality of implemented solution by performing code reviews, design and FEM calculations and analysis, simulations, cost analysis, cross functional design reviews and supporting testing

  • Maintain existing components and (sub-) systems documentation and certification

  • Keep track of technology trends, propose use of new ideas and technologies in Schindler's mechanical landscape, and generate IP proposals and patents for new ideas.

  • Collaboration with Project Managers and other Development Engineers globally

Further requirements may include:

 

  • Master or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
  • Project planning and management skills (sub-project / tasks management)
  • Design to cost and manufacturing expertise
  • CAD and simulations skills
  • Fluent language skills in English (Level C2) and good German skills
