Global IoT Connectivity Solution Expert (m/f/d)


We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

  • Providing second-level technical support to customers and other support engineers for IoT connectivity issues, including mobile network communications, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Global SIM management, and cloud connectivity services.
  • Identifying and resolving complex technical issues related to IoT connectivity by analyzing network logs, system data, and other technical information.
  • Analysing customer feedback and usage data to identify patterns or trends and suggest improvements to the IoT Connectivity services
  • Leading or participating in special projects related to IoT connectivity, such as testing new products or features or developing new support processes.
  • Leading and coordinating joint technical activities (e.g., testing, troubleshooting) involving internal and external stakeholders related to connectivity topic
  • Single point of contact towards partner MNO to run the day-to-day technical operations of global M2M SIM management
  • Collaborating with the development team to provide feedback on product design and development from a connectivity support perspective, including identifying potential connectivity issues and suggesting improvements to the product or service
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, e.g., troubleshooting guides, and FAQs
  • Conducting regular presentations as part of knowledge sharing with other team members e.g. best practices of troubleshooting
  • Developing and implementing solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of IoEE connectivity services, such as network optimization, troubleshooting processes, and system monitoring tools

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Software/IT or similar background

Knowledge and experience:

  • Experience (5 years) in a support organization or software development with troubleshooting and technical support aspects
  • Excellent Understanding of end-to-end mobile communication concepts (signaling, QoS, and protocols) and relevant technologies and services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, VoIP, VoLTE, MO/MT SMS, MO/MT Call, MPLS
  • Familiar with the wireless site survey, WAN concept and future mobile communications technology such as 5G, VoNR, and Network Slicing
  • Very good understanding of end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem concepts from IoT devices, IoT connectivity services & protocols (LWM2M/MQTT), and IoT Platforms
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
  • Basic understanding of IoT Connectivity infrastructure-related topics such as Global M2M SIM, OpenVPN, PKI, Linux, cloud (AWS/Azure/Huawei), and Ipv4/v6
  • Familiar with Confluence and JIRA

Language skills:

  • Solid command of written and verbal English
