Director Supply Chain Quality

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:
- The position holder improves products reliability and quality by consistently improving the complete manufacturing process. It is his/her responsibility to ensure compliance with corresponding ONs, legal regulatory standards, group requirements and global implementation status in every detail.
- He/she is responsible to oversee and drive all necessary NI value chain quality improvements as defined in the SEC Supply Chain Steering Committee chaired by the SEC CEO.
- He/she is responsible for the elimination of SEC’s “Top 5” claims, to support the Field Operation on quality issue with high visibility and interacts with all required stakeholders for swift resolution.
- He/she drives the actions & escalations with all stakeholders for Supplier & KW non-conformity reduction & OTD / FPY improvement. The position holder is also in charge of implementing and controlling 5 closed quality loops for internal as well as for external key suppliers and conducts reviews for implementing status of agreed supplier development / industrialization programs in collaboration with affected suppliers, sub-suppliers, KWs and related group functions.
- He/she ensures new products are developed and released following the PIP (product Introduction Plan) and PCP-2.0 (Product Creation Process); coordinates CCQL (Continuous Costs Quality Leadership) quality relevant risk assessment
- He/she defines strong quality controls including effective firewalls for all change period (CP) releases
- He/she develops future leaders and functional expertise and ensures excellent leadership behaviors in the SCQ organization. He / She creates and sustains high employee engagement and fosters a high performance / full potential culture
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Value Chain Organization: (50%)
- ensure compliance with all Quality process in SEC in collaboration with zone and group functions, group & local suppliers, and Schindler’s KWs
- ensure compliance & execution of Quality Checks effectively, based on SCQ Requirements for KW and MPEX for field operation NI, MOD, Escalators & Service parts.
- oversee and drive all necessary NI value chain quality improvements as defined in the SEC Supply Chain Steering Committee chaired by the SEC CEO.
- drive improvement programs to increase quality maturity, rollout the SQCP (Schindler Quality Champion Program)
- SWOT investigations, monitor organizational setup and initiate changes
Top Claim Extermination: (10%)
- monitor Claim Cycle Time NI & EI
- liaise with plant manager, head of Supply Chain, R&D, Purchasing, BM-NI & EI for problem solving activities
- cooperate with the Field Operation on quality issue with high visibility (e.g., breakdown of installation in important public building, VIP stuck in an elevator, MTA, etc.) and interacts with all required stakeholders for swift resolution
- report progress to management monthly or quarterly (e.g., SVP Supply Chain meetings, Steering Committees and SPQRs)
New Product development, CP releases, Configuration changes and CCQL Projects: (10%)
- ensure that all new products (NI & EI) are developed and released following the PCP-2.0 & PIP and that the respective milestone deliverables defined in the Q-plan are available on time and in the agreed quality.
- ensure that for all change period (CP) releases and other possible configuration changes (code changes, etc.) a proper quality control protocols are followed and required quality tests executed.
- ensure that CCQL originated within SEC are processed with compliance to the agreed quality gates and implemented without affecting quality. Coordinate CCQL quality relevant risk assessment
Quality Loops, Supplier Evaluation and ISO9001: (10%)
- monitor supplier performance and drive escalation within SEC supply chain
- ensure supplier performance measurement is accurate (OTD, FPY, PPM, etc.), according to target setting and lead interdisciplinary teams in case of deviations
- ensure SEC get certified on the new ISO9001-2015
Leadership & Collaboration: (20%)
- establish an effective and well recognized SEC Supply Chain Quality function (recognized amongst e.g., Field Operations, Product Line, R&D, FQE, Supply Chain colleagues).
- manage relevant stakeholders & multiplicators and guide the escalation / decision making process
- Mentor/develop future leaders as well as functional expertise and ensure excellent leadership behavior. He / She creates and sustains high employee engagement and fosters a high performance / full potential culture.
Your Experience
MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
BACHELOR’S DEGREE
MASTER’S DEGREE (6 YR)
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
Expert Knowledge in the Field of Quality Methods and Industrialization
