Inventory Specialist

Mobility is the goal

Responsible for maintaining appropriate sequencing and storage of materials to facilitate accurate and timely order picking and loading operations.   Assist with the implementation of, and provide ongoing support to maintain, the Warehouse Management System.

Partners with Operations team members to slot product using minimum to maximum philosophy to best utilize available space. 

Execute a cycle count program, monitor and provide results.  Assist with physical inventory/cycle counting.  Perform daily cycle counts within warehouse and research discrepancies.  Perform physical count of inventory, material receipts, shipments in progress, work in process and any other inventory.  Investigate discrepancies, imbalances and root causes of inaccuracies. 

Utilizes modern material handling equipment as needed, including but not limited to forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

Work with Receiving/Shipping personnel to ensure materials are properly labeled, including correct units of measure, etc.  Troubleshoot issues at time of receipt/shipment.

Assist with the implementation of the WMS system.  Take a lead role in the maintenance of WMS system after implementation.

Review various source documents, such as but not limited to G.O.’s, bill of materials, computer outputs, and engineering drawings for the purpose determining current material requirements.

Generate and use reports, spreadsheets and other information as needed to accomplish tasks. Creates and maintains tracking reports.

Helps develop SOP’s for best practices.  Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to reach highest possible productivity levels.


Mobility needs you

HS diploma or GED.  Good written and oral communication skills

A minimum of 12 months experience in Manufacturing or Logistics, which includes inventory experience.  Possesses the ability to use SAP to retrieve and track relevant information needed to complete job duties.  Basic Excel and Word skills. Understanding of elevator products and processes preferred.   Previous forklift experience preferred.
