Manufacturing Supervisor - Second Shift

Mobility is the goal

  • Manages all aspects of sheet metal fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, as well as Order Consolidation Center, Shipping and Receiving and related personnel at all Hanover-area facilities, for the second shift operations.  This includes the direct supervision of all team members with emphasis on mentoring, training, and developing. 
  • Responsible for supporting objectives, programs, and policies and driving results to meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws. 
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding team members and implementing corrective action. 
  • Coaches and counsels team members as needed.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety rules. 
  • Ensures all team members are properly trained; responsible for routine housekeeping and safety inspections throughout the plant.
  • Maintains proper manning, production flow, and efficient, effective labor utilization. 
  • Instructs and develops subordinates to readily identify and take corrective measures concerning inefficiencies in all aspects of the production process.
  • Responsible for supporting the programs and policies established for the operation. 
  • Responsible for the identification, development, and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures that support the following: customer satisfaction, quality, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, STPM, waste reduction, and material yield.
  • Facilitates teamwork, coordination and communication between departments and shifts. 
  • Responsible for conducting orientation and training programs for team members. 
  • Maintains facilities in “like new” condition through inspection, TPM and team member involvement. 
  • Ensures compliance by a thorough audit program.
 

Mobility needs you

  • A Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Business, Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as Shipping and Receiving. 
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma and related processes.  
  • Proficent with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred. 
  • Excellent communications skills, including the ability to interface effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
