PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Industrialization organization is a competency center in supply chain. It provides expertise for project or program support, acting as a knowledge center of product configuration, engineering, manufacturing technology and product cost management.

Supplier development helps create sourcing alternatives in best quality and cost solution by performing the following activities: search, survey and recommend new supplier candidates by collaborating with Prod Operations, R&D, Quality, Product Line Management, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers, providing overall responsibility to analyze engineering specifications, design changes and other data to plan supplier component manufacturing activities from conceptual stage through the production launch.  Support strategic sourcing activities and moves component manufacturing to best cost country suppliers. 

Manager, Supplier Development will be responsible for ensuring the success of new supplier on boarding and the stable quality performance of existing suppliers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead supplier excellence council with cross functional team in supply chain and drive the supplier performance reaching the target. Develop supplier's capabilities to improve the quality and reduce cost of component manufacturing.   

 

 

  • Define supplier development business plans and manage the implementation of projects to ensure the achievement of strategic and tactical supply chain management goals. 

 

  • Develop internal communication strategy and drives the required change management programs to support implementation. Lead pre-production purchasing activities, facilitates transition of component purchasing from R&D to production  

 

  • Manage the development of process specifications and provide technical support to suppliers, quality assurance and prod operations.  Identify and ensure completion of production readiness activities and process audits (PRR) both for internal manufacturing and external suppliers.

 

  • Drive VA/VE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) initiatives with suppliers and Identify and execute material and labor cost reduction and quality improvements for outsourced components. 

 

  • People development and help the set up of center of excellence
 

Mobility needs you

  • Project management experience, combined interpersonal skills, social competence
  • Entrepreneurial, imaginative and tenacious in order to achieve objectives within a changing and highly competitive market
  • Enthusiastic and effective team builder/player, able to maintain good relationships with advance Emotional Intelligence
  • Familiar with Quality Methods as APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PPAP
  • Supplier quality and relationship management
  • Product Lifecycle Management software experience
  • 15 years Solid working experience in supply chain with manufacturing technologies and engineering (E&E, Automotive or Aerospace is of advantage)
  • 10 years Strong leadership experience on cross functional project management and change management
  • 10 years Experience in working with cross teams (cross-cultural, cross-functional)
  • 10 years Supply Chain Management experience
