Mobility is the goal

  • Analyzes the requirements of the purchased parts/material, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date needed.
  • Establish relations and communications with suppliers required for free flow of information concerning new developments, designs, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with Strategic Purchasing to:  Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested part/material.  Identifies potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
  • Advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
  • Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure smooth material flow through the factory.  Provides guidance and information to Schedulers.
  • Communicate with all internal and external customers, and with all support functions as required as required to meet production needs.
  • Monitors purchasing reports to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records and compliance with company norms and government regulations.
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback where appropriate. 
  • Leads / supports projects as required.
