Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Mobility is the goal

Schindler is looking for a Digital Analytics Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist for its Global Reporting Solutions (GRS) team. As a QA specialist, you will be contributing to deploying impactful business intelligence reports for our field management globally, so that they can lead with trusted and certified insights. You will be primarily responsible for driving the quality of our portfolio of Power BI applications while ensuring the conformance with functional and non-functional requirements.

You will be part of the QA guild, where you will contribute to our quality strategy, processes, methods and tools to ensure the quality standards. You will be closely collaborating with your scrum team members, the Application Requirement Leads, Product Owner, Scrum Master and Developers. In that team, you will be supporting to achieve planned deliverables by giving important quality insights and ensure coordination improvements. You will be reporting to the Lead CoE GRS in Madrid and be part of the Global Reporting Solutions (GRS) of Schindler based in Ebikon, Switzerland.

 

We are looking for a people-minded technologist, who is passionate about analytics & reporting, comfortable with driving change, a solid problem-solver, with proven ability to operate and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, all the while meeting our high-quality standards. Candidates need a well-rounded background to balance the line between IT and the business.

 

You will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:

 

  • Be involved in developing test design of user scenarios, test cases and checklists, execution of manual functional testing, regression testing, reporting, and processing defects. 
  • Collaborate with your scrum team to define acceptance criteria for each user story. 
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
  • Understanding and analysing business processes, systems, and reports to identify issues proactively. 
  • Preparing test analytics for automation scenarios 

Guiding the customer for the definition of UAT and mapping test scenarios to business processes

 

Mobility needs you

Desirable, you possess the following experience:

  • Knowledge in automation frameworks. 

  • SQL knowledge.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing software testing or related functions within a structured software development cycle with demonstrated understanding of concepts of unit testing, integration testing, regression testing

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing reporting models on BI tool

  • At least 2 years of business intelligence experience in end-to-end lifecycle with solid knowledge in one of the leading BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik or Tableau). Knowledge of Power BI is a plus

  • ERP experience (SAP, Salesforce, D365) in one or more modules: FICO/MM, SD, Contracts is a plus

  • Experience in test management and test automation toolset for BI environment is a plus.

  • Experience in as Data Warehouse data Analyst. Data profiling.

  • DevOps procedures knowledge is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Confluence and Jira software is a plus.

  • Proven success in working in an agile team-oriented environment.

  • Proactive, structured, and methodical person.

  • Evangelist for change management and driving digitalization within a global environment.

  • Fluency in English and proactive communication effectively about technical or business topics.
