Associate Electrical Engineer

 

Scope of Responsibility

The Associate Electrical Engineer develops and applies elevator components using engineering fundamentals and established practices, procedures and guidelines. The Associate Electrical Engineer provides design solutions to assigned safety, performance, cost, reliability, and maintainability problems requiring the use of engineering methods and established procedures and guidelines as well as provides effective task management to accomplish specified technical objectives on time.

 

This position will support large project sales in bidding competitive projects and winning customer awards via technical support; applying, ordering and customizing engineering solutions for defined contract requirements; providing field support, troubleshooting of field installations, and resolutions to customer issues; supporting program implementation via coordination with research and development; and supplying corporate operations with a successful product line.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, or apply components and systems using engineering methods and techniques to meet specified technical objectives.
  • Analyze and solve design, application, manufacturing, installation and service problems.
  • Implement established procedures to achieve defect-free designs or applications.
  • Provide design solutions to assigned safety, performance, cost, reliability, and maintainability problems requiring the use of engineering methods and established procedures and guidelines.
  • Order Elevator products per Job requirements.
  • Provide effective task management to accomplish specified technical objectives on time.

Some Domestic Travel Required for Site Visits and/or Training 15%

 

Mobility needs you

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the elevator industry.
  • Comply with all Engineering Processes.
  • Perform Architectural/Structural Drawings Reviews - Define, Communicate Resolutions.
  • Contract Drawings.
  • Full Knowledge of Safety Go/No Go Rules.
  • Knowledge of A17.1 Code pertaining to Layouts and Local Codes.    
  • Strong interpersonal Communication Skills (Verbal and Written, Technical Report Writing).                                                     
    Maintains positive and professional attitude in a highly demanding environment.                             
  • Communicate effectively with all internal engineering teams and engineering management (Internal escalation).

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Electrical.
