Learning Management System Specialist

Mobility is the goal

Schindler Elevator Corporation is seeking an experienced full-time Learning Management System Specialist. This role has prime responsibility for the technical development, management, and day-to-day support of the Schindler’s learning management system within the United States’ operation. This role would be responsible for coordinating strategic and support initiatives related the LMS with Schindler’s global Learning Support team and with other department-specific local coordinators of learning needs. This role will also ideally be in charge of internal expertise related to development of new content.

 

Key Job Component 1: Learning System Management

  • Manage our SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) including but not limited to system configuration, course deployments, user setup and administration, resolution of technical issues, content updates and overall system support
  • Define, create and document system standard operating procedures and instructional quick guides and manage local LMS support ticketing system while serving as a point of escalation for all local system issues, administrative aspects, and important processes of the LMS
  • Partner with global support team and local business units to train new local system administrators and advise other existing system administrators of best practices within the system

 

Key Job Component 2: Instructional Design and E-Learning Development

  • Gather stakeholder requirements, analyze functional requirements, recommend and design possible solutions to define the appropriate learning objectives, modalities and expectations
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs)/global process owners (GPOs) to outline and improve processes and procedures
  • Create eLearning modules and other products based on meetings with SMEs / GPOs

 

Key Job Component 3: System Promotion and Advocacy

  • Driving change management and communication regarding LMS changes/updates
  • Marketing and promoting learning system offerings

Partner with and manage vendor relationships related to the Learning Management System and third-party offerings advertised and tracked within the system

 

Mobility needs you

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

  • Prior experience in software systems support and administration
  • Direct experience with the SAP SuccessFactors Learning module and/or other Learning Management Systems  
  • A strong level of knowledge in content authoring software such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate
  • Instructional Design training and experience
  • Knowledge of learning theories, methodologies, and the multiple levels of evaluation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training development with some experience and knowledge of curriculum design
