RDO Strategist

Mobility is the goal

A critical part of the team is the RDO Strategist.  He/she is responsible for supporting the Results Delivery Office (RDO) Field Excellence Manager as the primary contact for several Schindler US-wide initiatives and Field Operations initiatives, with responsibility to help lead the following responsibilities:

  1. Business Unit Planning - Manage strategic plan assessments for individual Districts and partner with field managers to establish primary goals on a two-year rolling basis, plus identify key gaps and strategic initiatives that must take place in order for goals to be reached.  Build the business case to get the necessary resources assigned to the strategic initiative for execution.
  2. Project Management –Identify and track key metrics that demonstrate execution progress.  Sample projects include the following:
    1. Pricing Strategy:  Provide sound recommendations to ensure that pricing standards are optimized, understood and adhered to across Districts.
    2. Staffing Strategy:  Assist with assessment of current span of control standards in each district and create a labor mix and span of control optimization tool based on the volume of client activity in each district.
    3. Customer Attractiveness Study:  Analyze the profitability of each client in a District and make recommendations on how to alter the labor mix and cost structure of specific relationships to improve overall District profitability.
  3. Ad Hoc Project Management and Analysis – Support RDO Field Excellence Manager and Field managers with ad hoc strategic projects and analysis.  Leverage MS-Excel and other appropriate analytical tools to conduct defect-free analysis and present findings in a way that allows the management to make informed, confident decisions

  • to work with large amount of data, summarizing and suggesting operational improvements

The right candidate will have:

  • polished writing and public speaking skill, should be comfortable on their feet during presentations and have the ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience
