Senior Global Support Engineer IoEE

Mobility is the goal

Schindler Digital Group is looking for a “Senior Global Support Engineer IoEE (m/f/d)” willing to join our team. If you are looking for an international challenge with dynamic and multicultural teams, this could be your future. You will report to the Head of IoEE Control Center.

  • Reports to Head of Department and will be in close collaboration with other departments on group projects within Schindler Digital Group
  • Provides and plans global 2nd-level support for Schindler’s IoT products and services, encompassing but not limited to monitoring and communication devices, software platforms, SIM-card management, smartphone apps etc.
  • Take support responsibility over certain product lines or services, manage support activities for dedicated product lines / partners on daily basis.
  • Monitor all lifecycle aspects of the IoT products, alert respective organizations and report findings to management
  • Develop technical documentation and instructions and share best practices to ensure smooth operations in the field
  • Conduct technical training sessions and continuous knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to product improvements by collecting product feature requests into user story formats
  • Develop changes and fixes for IoEE components and IoEE applications
 

Mobility needs you

  • Principle Engineer
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a support organization or software development with technical support aspects.
  • Experience in working with Windows and Linux based systems
  • Knowledge of mobile communication systems and QoS / SLA concepts  
  • Understanding of Software development processes and deployment
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and in solving technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and instructions.
  • Natural interest in IoT technology and its applications to Schindler business
  • Structured working style
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment, including global departments of Schindler
  • Problem solving skills
  • Professional ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally
  • Additional languages a plus
