Your main responsibilities
- Work from manufacturing information, material lists, requisitions, written and/or oral instructions.
- Receive, identify, and verify incoming shipments. Check delivery against bill of lading and check contents against packing slip. Indicate short or damaged goods and obtain driver’s signature.
- Store productive and contract materials, supplies, tools and equipment associated with plant products. Issue items from stores and storage areas as required. Assign bin locations or storage areas as required.
- Conduct physical inventory of various stock and non-stock items and post results to proper inventory control files.
- Secure spare parts number and description of items to be replaced from parts catalogs and submit for approval.
- Prepare for shipment completed equipment, accessory and service parts and assure parts on products are properly loaded for shipment.
- Check shipment against bill of lading and contents.
- Load, unload, and move materials as required.
- Complete and maintain all necessary records and reports associated with receiving, stores, issuing and shipping as required. Maintain tools and equipment.
- Input purchase orders, order equipment and material and submit for approval.
- Check quality of material and workmanship and verify conformance to Standards.
- Operate the wood waste volume reduction.
- Must successfully pass the certification for licensing forklift drivers.
- Responsible for quality of finished work.
- Maintain required records and documents.
- Perform other duties as instruction, necessitated by change or condition. Observe all company rules and safety practices. Keep work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Provide suggestions and ideas toward the continuous improvement of our operation.
