HSE Specialist

 

Your main responsibilities

In this role, you'll be responsible for:
  • Carrying out documentation activities within the scope of Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental processes, revising documents when necessary, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records,
  • Conducting legal compliance activities in line with local legislation and global requirements, and following up on related actions,
  • Ensuring compliance with the requirements of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems,
  • Conducting, monitoring, and reporting legal compliance activities in line with environmental legislation and global environmental standards,
  • Reporting environmental performance indicators and actively participating in environmental improvement projects,
  • Taking an active role in all internal and external audit processes,
  • Actively participating in researching and developing best practices and supporting their implementation as projects,
  • Supporting the coordination of activities aimed at increasing employee safety awareness,
  • Conducting root cause analyses of accidents and near-miss incidents, preparing reports, and following up on corrective actions,
  • Scheduling routine site visits to identify safety improvement opportunities and monitor compliance,
  • Preparing monthly reports on Occupational Health & Safety KPIs.
 

Who you are

  • Occupational Health & Safety Specialist Certificate is a must (at least B class),
  • Bachelor’s degree from a relevant university department, preferably in Environmental Engineering,
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification is preferred,
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems; Internal Auditor certification is preferred,
  • Good knowledge of national and international Occupational Health & Safety legislation,
  • Knowledge of environmental management practices and environmental legislation,
  • Experience in waste management, environmental aspect & impact assessment, and legal compliance processes,
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken,
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications,
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills,
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
