MOD Sales Manager
We Elevate... Your Responsibilities
We are looking to recruit an MOD Sales Manager to join our Team based out of our Bathgate Office near Livingstone in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for a territory stretching from the North East of England into Scotland and they will drive volume sales growth of modernisation, transformation and full replacement, with the appropriate C1 levels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maximise both modernisation and full replacement sales through prospecting new business, dealing with repeat customers and general enquiries into the business.
- Adhere to company-imposed targets.
- Presentations to clients as required.
- Work with the Product Line Manager, Modernisation Design Centre, Fulfilment and other support functions to produce tenders for projects in line with customer requirements.
- Follow up quotations, negotiate and convert into orders.
- Negotiate Schindler / lift industry standard terms and conditions as required.
- Produce business development plans for assigned area/customers and report on forecasting of expected business.
- Liaise with other sales and technical teams to help develop the modernisation and company result.
- Undertake detailed technical lift surveys both for traditional modernisation and full replacement.
- Support wider MOD team.
- Liaise with Schindler service departments to ensure protection and growth of service portfolio and drive a capital planning approach
- Teamwork ethic.
- Demonstrate ‘Customer Centric’ behaviours at all time.
- Convey Schindler commitment to quality both in customer service and products provided.
- All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements.
- Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour.
- Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system.

Experience required:
- Proven technical/sales activity within the lift and escalator industry.
- Proven experience and results with sales processes.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Construction and Engineering Industry.
- Ability to co-ordinate negotiations, develop customer proposals, make effective presentations and close the sale.
- Good administration and computer skills are essential.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and must be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom.
