New Installations and Modernisation Sales Engineer

We are looking to recruit a NI/MOD Sales Engineer to join our Team based at our Addlestone Office in Surrey, working on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the NI/MOD Sales Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, pricing, and development of tenders for our Major Project & LPH Sales Departments. They will be trained on all necessary systems and educated on all aspects required to deliver in a highly demanding market and will provide valuable, transferable skills. Due to the large scale of some of the projects, there will be extensive interaction with many parties within the Schindler Global business and externally with sub-contractors and Clients. This position would be working in a small and elite team and includes working on the most iconic projects that make up the UK skyline. This is a full time and permanent role.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To review all incoming tender opportunities – training will be provided
  • Communicate a simple overview of information for all internal parties to work towards
  • Configuration of equipment on Schindler digital tools
  • Interacting with sub-contractors to ensure compliant and competitive offers
  • Completion of cost forecasts tools – training will be provided
  • Develop tender offerings, within fixed deadlines with the support of the Sales Engineering Manager
  • All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
  • Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour.
  • Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system
 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate calibre, ideally in Engineering
  • Experience in a Sales Engineering or related role preferred
  • The position is seen as a springboard for further local and global opportunities for the successful candidate
  • Due to the unique nature of what the Large Projects Hub delivers, we are looking for a candidate that sees things differently and develops smart methods to communicate our message to our global and prestigious clients
  • Enthusiastic, driven and self reliant
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines and has a high attention to detail
  • Able to motivate and work closely with colleagues across team boundaries
  • High level of organisatios and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
