Escalator IoT Expert (m/f/d)

Act as ESC expert for below tasks within the Schindler Digital Group

 

  • Specify and write service requirements for new and existing digital ESC products, e.g. around installation, commissioning and maintenance, incl. required tools for troubleshooting.
  • Create, edit and manage technical documentation for digital ESC products to lay the knowledge foundation for the Schindler country organizations globally, also taking advantage of digital tools, video tutorials etc.
  • Assess product quality of new digital ESC products within the overall IoEE system by executing end-to-end tests, and thus delivering decision-making material required for global release of new products and software.
  • Define, write and maintain test cases necessary to assess end-to-end functionality.
  • Create training material and conduct technical training sessions for Schindler country organizations, globally.
  • Support the global rollout of Schindler’s IoT solution ‘Schindler Ahead’ and its ESC products, e.g. judge on technical readiness and supervise the introduction.
  • Provide 3rd-level support for Schindler’s IoT products to the Control Center hub, ensuring expertise and knowhow transfer on a constant basis.

 

Mobility needs you

 

As ESC expert you will be responsible for ensuring qualitity and the global rollout of Schindler Ahead digital products. Therefore Schindler seeks for a flexible and highly autonomous working person that is willing to work in a very dynamic and agile environment, dealing with IoT (Internet of Things) and communication technologies.

 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Service Technician or Technical Expert specialized on escalators (ESC), preferably knowing the Schindler products and tools MIC F4, MIC F5, FieldLink etc.
  • Experience in providing technical training and writing technical documentation highly desired.
  • Expertise in product testing and/or writing requirements a plus.
  • Troubleshooting experience expected.
  • Logical thinking, hands-on approach as well as capable for analytical and conceptual office work.
  • Must be skilled in handling ESC simulators, screwdrivers and field tools, as well as Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good level of English in verbal and written form. Ability to communicate in German desired.
  • Technical diploma (Fähigkeitszeugnis/Ausweis) or equivalent qualification. Additional higher qualification (Techniker/BSc.) desired.
  • Proven high-performer in previous job that has the ability for conceptual/office work in addition to hands-on practice in field.
