Lift Installation Engineer
We are recruiting for a Lift Installation Engineer to cover Southern Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality installation work and completing handovers to the required standards. This is a full time and permanent role.
Your main responsibilities
- Installing lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment in line with approved installation procedures and safety requirements
- Installing and assembling traction equipment, including the positioning, alignment, fitting and adjustment of lift systems
- Installing and tensioning lift suspension ropes, governor ropes and associated safety equipment on new and reconstructed lift installations
- Installing a wide range of lift doors, frames and entrance systems, including manual and automatic door equipment and associated safety devices
- Carrying out final installation checks, adjustments and pre-commissioning activities to ensure equipment is ready for testing and handover
- Conducting site surveys and assessing installation requirements to support effective project delivery
- Monitoring installation progress and providing accurate updates on work completed, hours worked and any issues affecting delivery or compliance
- Building positive working relationships with customers, site personnel and internal colleagues to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards and customer expectations
Who you are

Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation, or an equivalent mechanical or electrical qualification and relevant industry experience
- Proven experience installing lift equipment within new installation, refurbishment or modernisation environments
- Strong technical knowledge of lift installation practices, equipment and industry standards
- Fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve installation-related issues
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, site teams, project managers and inspectors
- Valid Safe Pass card
- Full driving licence valid for use in Ireland
Desirable
- Experience working on a broad range of lift products and systems
- Knowledge of lift testing, commissioning or acceptance inspection processes
- Previous experience within major construction or infrastructure projects
