Lift Service Technician (Repair Engineer)

About the role

As a Service Technician/Repair Engineer, you will join our Existing Service team based in the Auckland Branch.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned lift repairs. Working individually and working within a team as needed. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out repairs, small modifications, major repairs, minor works, routine replacement of components and routine inspections

  • Typical repairs to include, Re-roping, Bearing replacements, motor changes, varied elevator component replacements and repairs etc

  • Working in a professional and highly safety cultured organisation.

  • Checking the lift function as part of repair works, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise temperature and power supply 

 

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in the lift industry is preferable or in a similar role.

You will also possess:

  • A current electrical licence

  • Eligibility to work permanently in New Zealand (citizen or permanent resident)

  • NZ Driver's license

  • Expert fault finding and diagnostic skills – ‘go to person’.

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Ability to work under pressure and rapidly problem solve

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Committed to providing an awesome customer experience
