Corporate R&D Software Test Leader (m/f/d)

 

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of our Milan Software Development Hub, an agile team that develops modern software tools to help shape the next-generation elevator’s software to meet high quality and safety standards for Schindler’s products.

 

As Corporate R&D Software Test Leader you ensure and improve the quality of elevator control systems by driving, planning, and orchestrating the implementation of software test automation and quality assurance as part of an internationally, globally distributed software engineering team.

 

Some of your exciting challenges include:

  • Defining scope, content, and future strategies of test campaigns, tracking their progress and taking corrective actions as well as applying test strategy elements

  • Getting an in-depth understanding of the test automation framework to discuss solutions on expert level and ensure the quality delivered

  • Supporting project managers in the project plan creation and the test campaign proposition, as well as considering the inputs and priorities of the stakeholders

  • Working with senior developers, requirements engineers, and the embedded software team to ensure readiness and availability of test infrastructure and simulation environment

  • Execute the assigned work together with your team within defined sprints to ensure readiness for upcoming releases

Further requirements may include:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / or equivalent

  • Further education in software test and quality assurance, test automation trainings or certifications are an advantage

  • Previous experience working with test automation technologies such as Behave and Python, agile processes and different test methods used in software development such as Jira and Confluence

  • Extensive knowledge in testing and quality assurance of software-intensive automation products, working in a software engineering environment

  • Working proficiency in English, Italian and German are a plus
