Lead Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)

 

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of our Milan Software Development Hub, an agile team that develops modern software tools to help shape the next-generation elevator’s software to meet high quality and safety standards for Schindler’s products.

 

Join our team and leverage your C++ expertise to work on the next-generation elevator software. As the leader of our Scrum team, you'll develop cutting-edge software and witness your impact first-hand in our lab simulators and test installations by proactively collaborate and lead an agile development team.

 

Your new challenges will include:

  • Overseeing the execution of embedded software projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and technical specifications

  • Leveraging from modern technology stack (C++20, CMake, Conan, Git, Python) to interpret project and technical requirements, creating detailed technical specifications for various teams

  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure project milestones are met

  • Demonstrating a track record of leading and motivating teams in the successful delivery of embedded software projects

You foster an effective communication in an international organization and can lead by example.

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electronics and/or, equivalent
  • Extensive experience with developing and maintaining embedded software solutions in C++, C, unit testing, and scripting by applying state-of-the-art software engineering practices
  • Technical leadership skills
  • Experience user of software development tools such as (Linux, git and JIRA, Agile development using Scrum/Kanban, preferably knowledge of design and analysis of real-time systems)
  • Proficient level of English, Italian and German are a plus
