Reports directly to: General Manager Turkey

Reports functionally to: Europe South Area Controller

 

Main Purpose:

CFO role will be responsible for the organization’s overall financial plans and policies along with its accounting practices and the conduct of its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders and the financial community. This role has a general responsibility of overseeing the related departments such as Finance & Accounting, Controlling, Purchasing, Warehouse, IT, Logistics. CFO role will also ensure the accounting, financial reportings are reliable, accurate and are reported in line with Group instructions and the required deadlines under the guidance of the General Manager and instructions from Head Office.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, treasury and financial controlling. The role will entail the daily running of the finance team, the review of cash flows, financial statements and reports,
  • Monitors and supervises period end closure procedures for ledgers and group reporting including tax planning and reporting according to IFRS – IAS, Schindler administrative procedures and local group standards,
  • Steers the local process for yearly and periodical financial planning in co-operation with the business units in line with Group l objectives,
  • Development, analysis and interpretation of KPIs and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization,
  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and forecasts together with planning and controlling procedures,
  • Has the responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the organization and assists other departments in budgeting and forecasting. Contributes to the protection of assets of Schindler,
  • Carries out statutory and groups requirements for Treasury, Tax, Insurance and other related administrative activities as well as social benefit systems,
  • Cooperates with internal and external auditors and partners,
  • Leads employees in the area of responsibility in agreement with superior (individual development, motivation, assessment and feedback),
  • Net working capital management, strategic planning and enforcement of internal control framework.
 

What you bring

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience on financial positions; minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant managerial position and minimum 3 years of experience in an international Audit company
  • At least a university degree in business, finance, accounting or a related subject area - preferably MBA
  • Advanced level of English in both written and verbal
  • Advanced level of MS Tools - SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in the working environment of an international company is essential. Ability to operate in a matrix organization with country, regional and corporate interaction
  • Sound commercial understanding and business partnership approach. Board level experience is preferred
  • Developed skills in coordinating and motivating the department’s employees
