IT Support Technician - 5 months

About the role

As an IT Support Technician, you will be the onsite and remote go-to expert for technology related issues and requests for our staff. This role is ideal for someone with field experience in computer networks, strong office administration skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

This position is a temporary full time role for 5 months.

Your role will include:

- Setup, deploy and change management for laptops and mobile devices.

- Providing technical support including the maintenance of system, networks, and software

- Performing daily back-ups of servers and database

- Support IT admin related tasks.

- Providing IT troubleshooting / helpdesk service under supervision

- Arranging user training (Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, and mobile devices), eg password, OS and software update.

- Providing technical support including the maintenance of copiers and phone system

 

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in computer science, electronics and/or IT experience equivalent
  • Experience in Server, VMware virtualization, Backup and Network Management.

  • Experience in Onsite User Support.

  • Experience in Lotus/HCL Domino management and HCL Notes client support.

  • Experience in office collaboration with Microsoft 365.

  • Have troubleshooting skills with mobile devices (Android and Apple) and VC equipment including MS Teams Rooms

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by taking ownership of incidents, requests, problems, projects, and changes efficiently and effectively.

  • Ability to manage different actors/stakeholders, with different priority

  • Eligibility to work permanently in New Zealand (citizen or permanent resident)
