Join us as a

Warehouse and Logistics Assistant - 3 months

 

As a Warehouse and Logistics Assistant, you will be an integral part of our logistics department for a 3-month term. Collaborating within a dynamic and close-knit team in a fast-paced environment, you will contribute to a variety of projects aimed at ensuring the seamless operation and efficiency of our warehouse and distribution facility.

 

Principal areas of work will include:

  • Goods Receipts and Issues: Oversight of spare parts distribution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Storage and Warehousing: Management of goods storage, maintaining optimal organization and inventory practices.
  • Local Logistics Coordination: Handling logistics operations to ensure seamless supply chain activities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring and maintaining stock levels, conducting periodic checks, and updating records.
  • Controlling and Reporting: Preparing and analysing reports, ensuring compliance with set standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Upholding quality standards across all processes and ensuring compliance with relevant protocols.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Promoting and adhering to workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Managing office tasks, including system log-ins, executing remedial actions, and coordinating with maintenance staff.
  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Completing tasks assigned by supervisors or department heads as required.
 

What you bring

  • Possession of a Forklift License is highly regarded.
  • Minimum of one year of experience, ideally in the industrial, construction, or engineering sectors.
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Eligibility to work on a permanent or temporary basis in New Zealand.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is highly desirable.
  • A positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
