Sales Representative - Modernization
Your main responsibilities
The MOD Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing modernization opportunities by building strong relationships with customers, property managers, and building owners. This role focuses on growing existing accounts, generating new business, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs while driving profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow modernization sales opportunities within an assigned territory while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Meet or exceed sales goals through proactive prospecting, customer engagement, and strategic account management.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend modernization solutions, code-compliance upgrades, and technology enhancements that add value to their equipment and operations.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation; negotiate contract terms that align with company objectives while meeting customer requirements.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, pipeline management, contract execution, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Partner closely with operations, field teams, and customers to ensure smooth project execution, customer satisfaction, and successful issue resolution.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity, leveraging industry intelligence to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Develop and execute sales and negotiation strategies that balance customer needs, competitive positioning, and company financial objectives.
- Build long-term relationships with building owners, property managers, consultants, and key decision-makers to drive repeat business and renewals.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen knowledge of company products, services, processes, and industry best practices.
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or minimum of 3 years of industry sales experience.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite software, Lotus Notes, SAP preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Must have good conflict resolution skills
