Area Service Operations Manager EI
Your main responsibilities
The Area Service Operations Manager EI, is responsible for service, repair and maintenance of all Schindler and other products within our portfolio in geographic span of Area.
• Implement and monitor, in concert with the Area Finance Manager and Area Sales Manager -El, the Contract Management process to ensure achievement of best-demonstrated practices in all areas of the service business.
• Achieve all service labor hour objectives and metrics set for the Area.
• Work closely with all Area personnel to facilitate and focus on the retention and growth of our service business.
• Support Area EI Superintendents in managing the maintenance and repair of entire portfolio to ensure conformance to customer, company and profit requirements.
• Assume active role in recruitment and selection of field hourly service employees.
• Responsible for development, training, morale, discipline and promotion of these employees in conjunction with their direct supervisor.
• Provide lead role in assurance with compliance of the collective bargaining agreement, grievance process aud settlements, arbitration preparation and other labor issues.
• Ensure all field hourly service employees within the Area have annual performance reviews completed.
• Provide direction and support to ensure all field employees are trained and committed to Schindler quality initiatives and objectives.
What you bring
• Bachelors or Associate degree in field related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Project Management or Construction Industry Management related courses desired.
• Ten to fifteen years experience in elevator or related industry with a minimum of 8 years in a supervisory position.

Required knowledge of softwares and/or any programs to be used including the level of expertise.
• Problem Solving:
Nature and complexity of problems required to be solved, and the level of analysis, independent judgment, and planning required to be used.
Formulate, initiate and implement field oriented programs and disciplines, which will ensure cnstomer quality and positive financial performance, which conform to the organization's business objectives. This must be accomplished within the goals and objectives of the Area's sales operations as well as the Business Unit's goals in alignment with corporate strategic planning.
Other required skills (i.e., communication, project management, leadership, etc.)
Strong skills of persuasion are essential to the Area Service Operations Manager EI position in the daily internal and external business enviromnent. Both written and oral communication skills are essential in the successful negotiation of customer disputes, labor problems, as well as in the effective training of Area personnel.
