Area Sales Manager - NI

 
Mobility is the goal

 Essential Functions:

  • Implement programs and initiatives with all Area Modernization Sales and local P&L Managers to achieve or exceed sales objectives by product type in all local operations.
  • Act as Area liaison with the M&S HQ team.  Act as soundboard for competitive feedback, and market changes which require Sec to take action.
  • Assist local and Area teams in coordinating, planning and support of customer and consultant events.
  • Implement and monitor, in concert with the Area Finance Manager and Area NI Operations Manager, the NI installation process to ensure achievement of best-demonstrated practices in all areas of the NI business.
  • Support Area NI Superintendents in managing modernization processes of our entire portfolio to ensure conformance to customer, company and profit requirements.
  • Assume active role in recruitment and selection of NI sales representatives for the Area. Responsible for development, training, morale, discipline and promotion of these employees in conjunction with their direct supervisor.
  • Establish and set realistic but stretch budget targets with local Area management teams and VP NI Sales for local and individual proposal activity and sales.  Responsible for ongoing measurement and tracking with local management of individual results.

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and SMART
  • Requires clear and concise communications to ensure efficient information flow resulting in superior performance of our customers
  • Individual must possess a high degree od stress tolerance, being able to effecrively communicate and perform under pressure and opposition
  • Negotiating commerical issues with local customers and maintaining positive long-term relationships with key accounts and influential industry consultants
  • Requires patience, persuasion, negotiation explanation and selling
  • Interacting with functional departments within the Business Unit (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Marketing)
