Project Manager NI LPD

 

Your Skills

Plan, monitor and control all aspects of the fulfillment of large projects and lead all involved to achieve objectives on time and to specified cost, quality, safety, performance and customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in sales efforts of large projects as needed.
  • Analyze projects using Major Project Execution Summary (MPEX) tool.
  • Communicate with Territory leadership the financial standing of the job and areas of concern.
  • Maintain financial responsibility for all deliverables associated with projects assigned (book of business >50M). 
  • Provide the necessary training to field installation personnel to ensure compliance with company process and Group standard.
  • Hold monthly review meetings for each project with project team and management team.

 

The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record of performing the following:

  • Estimating, contract administration.
  • Construction billing.
  • Working with general contractors and the various systems they utilize to manage projects (Prolog, Constructware, Primavera, MS Project).
 

Your Experience

Education

Technical degree in Engineering - Bachelors degree 
MBA or similar is an asset for this position
 

Experience
10+ years of experience in large projects
Good knowledge in elevator systems. [Application Engineering]
Practical experience in the field of high-rise elevators and large construction projects

Experience working in cross functional roles across direct/indirect reports
Experience in construction project cost forecasting  

An asset is knowledge in ASME A17.1

SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes

 

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication
Negotiation of major projects (contracts/change orders/etc.)
Managing internal processes 
Strong business acumen 
Computer skills - Microsoft Office, MS-Project and SAP.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds throughout all levels and disciplines
Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team oriented relationships with co-workers, non-working foreman, managers, clients and others in contact with the job
