Head Global IT Service Desk (m/f/d) 80-100%

 

As Head Global IT Service Desk, you will lead and develop globally distributed service desk teams and associated back-office operations, ensuring they deliver reliable, high-quality support to the organization worldwide. In this senior leadership role, you set direction, align services with enterprise IT and business strategies, and create the structure, culture, and support your teams need to achieve ambitious operational and service goals.

 

Your Impact


In this highly visible global leadership role, you will:
•    Own and continuously improve global end-user services, including the Global Service Desk and associated back-office functions
•    Lead and govern external service providers to ensure performance, quality, and contractual compliance
•    Manage IT service delivery processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and alignment with business needs
•    Ensure effective handling of customer inquiries and complaints, driving timely resolution and high satisfaction
•    Oversee core management responsibilities, including resource and capacity planning, communication planning, budgeting, and regular service reviews
•    Provide executive-level support for senior IT leadership and VIP stakeholders

 

Who you are


You are an experienced leader with a strong focus on service excellence and people management. Skilled in communication, project management, and analytical decision-making, you effectively manage stakeholders and service providers while thriving in international, multicultural teams.

 

What you bring


•    University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
•    Solid foundation in IT concepts and technologies
•    Proven experience leading service delivery in large, global organizations
•    Experience managing services for diverse user bases, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sector
•    Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across regions and functions
•    Fluent in English and German
