Strategic Management Support - Global Operations m/f 80-100%


We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

The Strategic Management Support to the Head Global Operations is mainly supporting him in the daily operation starting from research and analysis of data, preparing meetings, developing presentations, taking minutes and monitor the execution of the decisions taken as well as communicating with the global Operations community. These tasks give the unique possibility to get an inside view of most of today’s and future key strategic topics of the entire, fully global Operations department. It is also an opportunity to get visibility and in touch with many of Schindler’s top management key players.


Beside the described job responsibilities, there is clear push to work in defined projects in the Global Operations Team. They cover the full range from strategic topics, business case analyses to support relevant business decision making across the entire value chain. Depending on the qualification and the learning curve, this can start as project support, or team member up to the lead of a project team. Further tasks in this role include:

  • Providing data analysis and summary, secretarial duties for department meetings and workshops and administrative support for the Operations Head and his team
  • Designing and preparing of presentations and communications material, follow-up and expedite action items
  • Organization of company events, meetings and workshops

You are an excellent communicator in a cross-cultural and very dynamic environment with the willingness to go the extra mile and ambitions to develop yourself further in this role. Further requirements may include:

  • Masters degree in engineering or business administration - or equivalent education
  • First experience within a global Operations organization is not a must, but could be of advantage
  • Strong service behavior and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong interest in a highly collaborative cooperation with local Operations communities in the geographical zones and countries but also to be a team member in the global Operations organization.
  • Prepared to develop into a management function within a limited period of time
  • Flexibility to work in different countries
