We Elevate... Your Responsibilities
As part of the group sustainability office, you will play a key role in advancing our climate agenda by leading the climate agenda from strategy to reporting. This includes the management of the framework of climate risks and opportunities, related strategic initiatives and reporting across Swiss and European regulations.
Some of your exciting challenges include:

Leading the climate reporting and action agenda for Schindler Group across regulatory and voluntary standards.

Leading the implementation of the climate related CSRD recommendations, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess climate-related risks and opportunities and integration into our nonfinancial report.

Leading the annual CDP disclosures, from data collection to submission.

Owning and enhancing the carbon accounting methodologies and calculations across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and leading GHG emissions reduction initiatives (e.g., carbon removal, carbon pricing)

Managing our RE100 commitment to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2025, including the purchase of renewable electricity certificates.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate climate considerations into strategic decision-making processes.

Designing and implementing a climate and sustainability risk management framework to proactively identify, assess, and manage the related risks and opportunities.

Managing and conducting climate scenario analyses across physical and transition risks to evaluate the potential impacts of climate scenarios on our operations.

Further requirements include:

Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability management, mathematics, or quantitative field.

At least proven 8-10 years of experience in a similar position or in a consultant position.

In depth understanding of climate risks, carbon accounting, and TCFD recommendations.

Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., ESRS, ISSB, GRI, CDP).

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Effective project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex initiatives from inception to completion.
-
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Willingness to learn and constantly self-educate.

Proficiency in English and German.
