Senior Vertical Transport Engineer - LPC

 

Your main responsibilities

The primary purpose of the role is to lead and manage the sales process for large elevator, escalator, and moving walk installation projects, driving revenue and market share growth. This role involves comprehensive ownership of the sales pipeline for significant projects, from initial client engagement to project execution, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with strategic business objectives. The professional must build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, builders, and developers, and provide expert guidance on technical specifications and project feasibility. The role also requires providing guidance and insights to other team members based on extensive professional experience in handling complex assignments.

  • Lead and manage the entire sales process for large elevator, escalator, and moving walk installation projects, from initial client contact to project execution, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with architects, builders, and developers to understand project requirements, provide expert guidance on technical specifications, and assess project feasibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive revenue and market share growth, ensuring a strong market presence and competitive advantage.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering and project management teams, ensuring seamless handover and installation phases, and addressing any technical or logistical challenges that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other internal departments to align sales strategies with company goals and provide regular updates on project status and sales performance metrics.
  • Engage regularly with customers, industry professionals, suppliers, and internal departments to sustain effective communication channels and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Offer mentorship and support to junior team members, sharing insights from complex projects to enhance their skill sets and performance.
 

What you bring

  • Post Secondary – preferably in Business or Engineering
  • 5-8 years in elevator industry or related experience, or a similar industry which includes the sales and servicing of capital equipment, with at least 3-5 of those years is a senior supervisory or management position

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Coaching and Mentoring: ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and articulately
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate costumer focus through improving performance
  • Leadership: Possess solid leadership skills
  • People Management: Ability to select, train, supervise and evaluate staff
  • Persuasion: Persuasion is required both internally and externally. Employees and customers must frequently be motivated to act or react in a manner to support credibility
  • Presentation: Ability to present materials clearly
  • Problem Solving: Ability to fully understand the problem, assess responsibility, explore alternatives, develop creative solutions and negotiate settlements
  • Teamwork: Ability to interact with all levels and be an integral part of the operation
  • Demonstrate the ability to embrace new concepts and change as well as seek new ways of doing things
