Your main responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Hanover Plant Manager provides overall direction to the Elevator Manufacturing Operation.  The scope of functions managed include Manufacturing, CNC Programming, Shipping/Receiving, and Maintenance.   The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production of quality products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

  • Directs and manages the plant assets and personnel to ensure a balance of Safety, Quality and Cost within the operation without sacrificing one for another.
  • Supports corporate goals and initiatives by leading local activities designed to ensure employees safety.
  • Creates and distributes manufacturing schedule.
  • Manages KW (plant) controllable portion of P&L and finances by reviewing and approving preparation of accounting analysis: for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, and submittal for capital expenditures. 
  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations and business plans to include but not limited to all program requirements, labor hours, cycle times, takt times, production requirements and costs.
  • Supports, enforces, and adheres to regulatory requirements, company / plant policies, procedures, rules and code of conduct.
  • Effectively and timely communicate appropriate information to manager, direct reports, and peers.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new employees.
  • Establishes and executes a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, tooling and equipment needs.
  • Coordinates production activities and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, prevention of operational delays and continuous improvement.

  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong process engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of system requirements
