Senior Director Manufacturing

 

Your main responsibilities

· Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives, focusing on scalability, cost-efficiency, and quality improvement.

· Manages multiple manufacturing lines and distribution center daily through subordinate managers, supervisors and leads.

· Reviews, monitors, and approves all production activities to meet planned manufacturing goals.

· Lead, mentor, and manage manufacturing teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

· Oversees the design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the company's products, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

· Collaborates closely with engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and sales departments to ensure product specifications are met and to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs.

· Drives the adoption of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other best practices to minimize waste and optimize production processes.

· Establishes and implements procedures for cost control, waste (scrap) reduction, quality, EH&S, and on-time delivery.

· Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including capital expenditure projects, to support strategic initiatives and operational needs.

· Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with environmental, health, and safety standards and regulations.

· Ensures that all Production employees are aware of and always follow safety work practices.

· Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, ethical conduct, and a passion for the company's mission and values.

· Coordinates Production and Materials activities with other company departments/functions.

· Provides leadership for problem resolution to improve working relationships and facilitate improvements.

· Prepares and presents key process indicators (KPIs) to the SVP and other members of the management team.

· Maintains a positive, discrimination-free workplace for all employees.

  • BA or BS in appropriate discipline
  • Master’s Degree (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards
  • Lean/Six Sigma
  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong process engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of system requirements
  • Up to 25% travel
