S&OP Material Planning Analyst
Your main responsibilities
The S&OP Material Planning Analyst core responsibility is to provide supporting data for materials planning, planning and purchasing for strategic projects, and new objectives involving but not limited to the ESS and SSC materials team and the Maumee warehouse.
The S&OP Material Planning Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and purchasing from a set of vendors based on specific MRP controllers and will work with engineering when required to resolve material issues.
The S&OP Material Planning Analyst will also oversee transactions and updates in SAP beyond the buyer’s day to day operations. This individual will place high importance on data accuracy and integrity.
This role requires strong intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Power BI working knowledge is preferable. Experience with SAP and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Your Experience
Perform various quantitative analyses as requested, KPIs, metrics, OTD (Vendor, Team, and Warehouse)
Lead on key reporting
o Weekly compilation and review of OOS (Out of Stock Report) with the Purchasing team
Maintain specific MRP controllers and the purchasing of material involved with those controllers
Collaborate with Finance Controller and the Centralized Planning Manager involving strategic projects
o Be the key buyer for strategic projects
o Create spreadsheets & working files
o Provide supporting data
Acts as the SAP Gatekeeper
o Upload price changes for Finance
o Upload material master changes
o Analyze and test critical uploads
o Perform root cause analysis when necessary
o Assist with identifying & correcting inaccurate SAP data within the EI purchasing and planning scope
Create, update and maintain databases and workflows for EI purchasing and planning teams
o Train key users to access and update information for continuous improvement/reporting tasks at each location
o Rebuild/restructure existing reports while being sensitive to existing processes at different locations
Support other EI teams with data reporting where required
What you bring
