Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Canada

 

Your main responsibilities

Primary Function

The Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Canada identifies opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information. They locate sources for sale of company products and services, prepares documentation for prospective current customers, and ensures it is communicated appropriately. As a sales leader, this individual will oversee the EI sales function including Account Management personnel, as well as implementing sales plans, negotiate accounts and work to develop strong customer relationships while focusing on customer satisfaction and growing Schindler’s business portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong top to top relationships with customers
  • Assess and follow customer needs/complaints to satisfactory resolution
  • Ensure customer needs or inquiries are met in a prompt, professional manner through effective communications
  • Interpret customer concerns and mobilize the necessary internal resources in such a way that customer satisfaction is assured while the cost and employee resources disruption are minimized

Sales Management

  • In collaboration with the Branch/General Manager assist with the execution strategies to support portfolio retention and growth
  • Assemble and present product information for service offerings
  • Lead and support sales negotiations, including the development of sales proposals
  • Identify and pursue potential customers to drive and support strategic growth objectives
  • Work in cooperation with Contract Control on sales contract agreements
  • Coordinate and provide recommendations for market target pricing
  • Assure full utilization of systems and best demonstrated practices (BDP) throughout the Branch/District
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, and analyzing trends and results
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Support and grow the Inside Sales program both within the sales team and the Field Associates
  • Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicates, and competitors
  • Drive Working Capital results in conjunction with the efforts of the sales team, assist with dispute resolutions and uphold the processes for suspensions and credits to ensure audit compliance
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
  • Complete national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees to follow up on work results
  • Ensure a strong synergy and alignment with operations
 

What you bring

Knowledge

  • BA- Business Administration or Engineering
  • 5+ years in elevator industry or relevant experience, or a similar industry which includes the sales and servicing of capital equipment

  • Communication: Ability to articulate vision and communicate strategy across all levels of the organization; Develop clear and concise communications to ensure efficient information flow resulting in superior performance for our customers
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate costumer focus through improving performance; Demonstrate commitment to customer service through improving customer satisfaction

  • Negotiation: Ability to negotiate both persuasively and effectively in a tactful manner so as to gain customers’ acceptance
  • Persuasion: Motivate customers to act or react in a manner to support business growth
  • Presentation: Ability to present materials clearly and engage audience
  • Problem Solving: able to interpret complex commercial concerns and identify and mobilize appropriate resources, with minimum negative impact; ability to fully understand the problem, assess responsibility, explore alternatives, develop creative solutions and negotiate settlements
  • Teamwork: Ability to interact with all levels and be an integral part of the operation
  • Strategy: Demonstrate the ability to take the role to that of a Strategic partner with the organization
  • Possess a high degree of stress tolerance, being able to effectively communicate and perform under pressure and opposition 
  • Proficient in MS Office
