Associate Layout Engineer

Mobility is the goal

Job Duties:

  • Ability to comprehend architectural and structural building drawings
  • Create layout drawings with Lift Designer in line with the elevator configuration
  • Finalize layout drawings in AutoCAD, including building specific details
  • Review customer submittals (with mark ups) and discuss changes with TRT project manager
  • Update layout drawings based on mark ups and technical updates
  • Create entrance drawings in AutoCAD based on templates and modify for building specific custom solutions
  • Create BIM drawings of machine room or complete elevator system with Revit
  • Compose technical letters for architects per understanding of drawing submission
  • Organize, track and keep records of drawing and documents in archive
  • During offer stage check feasibility of requested hoist way / machine room dimensions as requested by sales engineer
  • Cooperation with significant interfaces such as: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Installation Expert, Field Project Manager and Product/Tool/Process Management
  • Engineering standard product code modernization applications
  • Developing 3D elevator system models to generate 2D automated submittal layouts
  • Supporting new product design and development
 

Mobility needs you

  • Degree as Draftsperson (architectural, construction, steel construction or machine) or Mechanical Engineering Degree, or Architecture Degree.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD
  • Advanced skills in Revit
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word & PowerPoint (intermediate)
