Associate Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Create and release purchase orders within SAP to both US and international vendors in support of multi-million-dollar high-rise elevator projects.
  • Obtain requests for price quotes as needed.
  • Review booking as needed to confirm material costs are under budget prior to issuing of purchase orders.
  • Prioritize daily workload of purchasing requests based on urgency.
  • Review order confirmations to confirm that price and delivery information are correct, follow-up on discrepancies, and update PO's as needed.
  • Support Logistics Department in tracking of material deliveries and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly conference calls with project teams to discuss material shipping schedules and deliveries.
  • Monitor supplier performance as related to delivery and quality, work with suppliers to resolve issues, including providing short-term forecasts to help ensure delivery on time in full.
  • Reconcile and approve invoices and monthly statements from vendors.
  • Work with Accounting and Logistics Department on resolving invoice issues and discrepancies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related degree.

 

Experience

0-2 years experience in supply chain
Knowledge in supply chain.
Experience working in cross functional roles across
Experience in material costing and management

 

Skills

SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes

Strong written and verbal communication

Managing internal processes

Strong business acumen

Computer skills - Microsoft Office, MS-Project and SAP.

Strong MS Excel a must

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds throughout all levels and disciplines

Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job

Travel 15% - domestic
