As the Schindler US business continues to grow, we are always looking for talented and ambitious professionals to be part of the Schindler family.  We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for a Senior Product Line Manager in our New Installation Escalator organization, as we look to continue to expand and grow our talent in this critical area here in the US. 

The Senior Product Line Manager will developand manage the product line strategy to achieve financial objectives for the New Installation Escalator and Moving Walk products.

The Sr. Product Line Manager position is a very critical part of this team and he or she will be the key driver of product related progress within the organization.  The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills to confidently guide the product line to achieve results through influencing other key functional groups (e.g. Sales & Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Field and Quality). 

The Senior Product Line Manager’s day to day functions will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage product changes to implement the product line strategy to drive Escalator & Moving Walk business success.
  • Drive day-to-day activities to ensure that the indirect team implements the proper processes and systems to allow successful introduction of desired product changes, including sales, production, and installationProduct hanges include cost reduction, quality improvements, code updates, and feature enhancements
  • Utilize change management process to execute and implement the product updates
  • Drive the product line strategy for Escalator & Moving Walk products
  • Gather relevant information through research, analytics, training, VOC, VOE, product benchmarking, and other methods.
  • Create detailed market requirements documents and perform business case analysis
  • Organize, present and gain organizational acceptance for a clearly defined product line strategy
  • Ensure timely implementation and resolution of product related issues to support business needs.
  • Assess and create/improve processes, methodologies, presentations and tools to track and report on the implementation and progress of objectives
  • Support maintenance of line of existing products

Mobility needs you

Requirements / Necessary experience:

  • Education – Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Management; MBA is desired.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in management and being a lead of progressively more complex projects and initiatives.
  • MUST have specific experience with large-scale program, project or product management.
  • MUST be able to demonstrate the ability to work with and drive alignment with cross-functional teams (full value chain experience).
