Human Resources Compensation Manager

Mobility is the goal

Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to the SEC businesses in the US in the area of compensation, with a strong emphasis on broad-based and recognition programs, with the goal of providing the organization the strategic and technical support and direction to ensure competitive pay and recognition programs.  In addition, manage the relocation and mobility programs associated with domestic moves and international assignments.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Manage, in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Compensation and Senior Director, Total Rewards & HRIS, the overall strategy and policies with regards to broad-based compensation programs, including integrating a number of pay programs/approaches and ensuring the appropriate level of competitiveness to support the talent attraction and retention strategies.

 

  1. Coordinate the strategy and manage the design and administration of the recognition programs across the entire population (union and non-union) including vendor administration, budget management, compliance reporting and management and all related communications.

 

  1. Manage the centralized compensation – related programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, management of the annual merit cycle, including budget management, calibration analyses and all related communication initiatives associated with these programs and managing all vendor relationships.

 

  1. Manage and report on the analytics associated with the compensation programs with regards to internal requirements and participate with external sources/resources in order to ensure access to current competitive data.

 

  1. Serve as one of the key consultants to the businesses and internal HR business partners in all aspects of compensation matters including job evaluations, pay proposals, regional pay analysis, integration of pay practices, etc.

 

  1. Manage all aspects of the domestic relocation program and partner internally/externally with evaluating, assessing and relocations activites/requirements.

 

  1. Manage all aspects of the international assignee program including serving as the expert on visa issues, home country/host country offers and balance sheets tied to compensation and coordinating the annual compensation process for the assignees with the Group, home/host countries and the responsible managers.
 

Mobility needs you

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in managing and developing compensation programs including approaches to base pay, recognition programs, job evaluations and deferred compensation plans.
  • Minimum of 5years designing, managing and analyzing broad-based compensation programs.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a relocation/mobility program.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

 

Additional Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CCP designation preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-national organization preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong detail orientation and project management skills including demonstrated success leading process improvement and cost savings/management initiatives.
  • Confidence to deliver difficult messages, defend decisions and make judgment calls.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and market data analysis experience.
