Finance Operations Manager - Net Working Capital (Open to Location)

 

Your Skills

The Commercial and Network Working Capital Manager develops processes, procedures and drives initiatives to improve Operational Net Working Capital (ONWC) position and cash flow and ensure it is maintained over the long term.  The Commercial and ONWC manager will partner with key stakeholders, including purchasing, field operations and sales, legal, large project team, collections, billing and accounts payable teams to continuously improve ONWC through payment term improvement, best in class cash management, contractual terms and conditions review and optimization of billing and collections strategy.  The Commercial and ONWC manager will also be responsible to provide training on ONWC topics to the organization. 

 

  • Develop processes, procedures and drives initiatives to improve ONWC position and cash flow.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to continually assess ONWC performance and trends.
  • Work with finance team to develop ONWC budget and forecast.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop improvement initiatives and strategies.
  • Work with Major Projects teams, war room and legal on payment term optimization for new bids and awarded jobs.
  • Work with Business Service Center (BSC) billing and collections team to optimize billing and AR strategy in order to improve collection speed and cash flow.
  • Work with BSC purchasing and AP teams to optimize vendor payment terms and payment methods.
  • Work with National Accounts team to drive efficiency in billing and collections processes.
  • Lead monthly ONWC meeting with CFO, BSC Finance Manager and Group NWC manager to review ONWC results, KPIs and actions.
  • Participate in branch New Installation / Modernization meetings with focus on improving WIP coverage
  • Develop and implement an ONWC training plan and materials and actively provide training to field operations and other stakeholders.
  • Share ONWC best practices and drive and monitor progress towards ONWC operational norm (ON) compliance
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) support in the development of new tools, software and system functionality pertaining to ONWC.
 

Your Experience

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required.

Masters degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

5 - 10 years funtional knowledge.

5-10 years technical knowledge.

Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial industries.
