Engineering Project Manager

Scope of Responsibility:


The Product Line Project Manager is responsible for the daily management of a team of engineers and supply chain specialists in the fulfillment of Large Project engineering and supply chain. The position will engage and remain a link throughout the project life cycle serving as a subject matter expert in the following:


  • Workload Management: Lead the transition of projects from sales into engineering for assigned Large Projects. Manage engineering and supply chain workload to ensure on time delivery of product.
  • Material Release, Fulfillment, and Forecasting: Lead the engagement and transition of projects from engineering into supply chain for assigned Large Projects. Oversee project material order release and fulfilment in global supply chain and local suppliers. Forecast material requirements based on project schedule.
  • Engineering Project Schedule Management: Communicate with Field Operations Project Managers throughout the engineering and procurement process focusing on areas of concern and ensuring on time delivery of engineering deliverables and material for assigned Large Projects.





  • Serve as a single point of contact for field operations on assigned Large Projects.
  • Responsible for managing the on-time performance of deliverables of assigned Large Projects (layouts, submittals, timely receipt of material, processing of warranty/claim materials). 
  • Responsible for managing engineering and supply chain cost position throughout the life of the project for assigned Large Projects.  
  • Responsible for forecasting the cost to complete for assigned Large Projects.
  • Responsible for all human resources and administrative functions of a cross-functional team of 4-6 direct reports.
  • Participate in sales efforts of Large Projects as needed.

    • Working in both an independent and collaborative environment to accomplish a common goal.
    • Ability to identify, scale and implement process development/change at a project level.
    • Resource planning



  • Bachelors degree
  • MBA or similar is an asset for this position




  • 2+ years of experience working with Large Projects in the construction industry
  • Good knowledge in elevator systems.
  • Experience working in cross functional roles across direct/indirect reports
  • Experience in construction project cost forecasting




  • SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Project management capacity planning
  • Managing internal processes
  • Strong business acumen
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, MS-Project and SAP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds throughout all levels and disciplines
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job
