Sr Engineer - Mechanical


Your Skills


  • Analyze and solve complex problems and do root cause analysis
  • Help create standard solution for custom requests.
  • Plan and lead complex problem resolution projects involving a group of lower classified engineers and technical support personnel to achieve timely, cost-effective solutions.
  • Technical Field Support lead on product improvements and development, using new technologies to reduce callbacks, improve reliability or reduce maintenance labor.
  • Provides value solutions to improve financial performance by understanding the commercial impact.
  • Act as the company expert in one or more elevator systems or products which are currently in our product offering, maintain all associated product documentation.
  • Analyze new technologies and make appropriate application to upgrade field diagnostic capabilities.
  • Perform and present analysis and findings to management, peers and customers.
  • Mentors the creation, editing and distributing various technical material (i.e. schematics, manuals, processes, etc.) to provide expert support.
  • Lead development of innovative solutions, achieving goals, and solving problems.
  • Responsible for identifying cost saving opportunities and/or risk items then develop and implement solutions.
  • Lead the development and release of field notifications from creation through distribution.
  • Facilitates conversations and breaks down barriers between teams, discouraging ‘us vs. them’ thinking.
  • Builds cross boundary team solutions that are more powerful than the ideas of individuals.
  • Collaborates in a leadership role, to effectively deliver team assignments and projects.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service; serves and satisfies internal and external customers; holds self-accountable for quality outcomes.
  • Actively identifies opportunities for improvement in product, process and costs.
  • Identifies areas of personal expertise and seeks out opportunities to lend expertise to working groups to maximize outcomes.
  • Travel typical 10% or less but can be up to 50%

Your Experience


Working knowledge of elevator systems, design procedures, and practices.  Detailed knowledge of engineering fundamentals and technologies related to elevator systems.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.  Advanced degree is a plus.  Minimum eight years elevator/escalator engineering experience.
