Your main responsibilities

Your Skills

 

The Specialist/Designer in this role will create layout drawings for new installation or modernization elevators. The drawings will be non-standard range, based on system calculations, building drawings and in compliance with code and standards. The Specialist/Designer also needs to have skills to perform basic application engineering tasks and to engineer and order commodity level projects. The Specialist/Designer is also to apply and conform to Schindler norms, procedures and ONs for drawings/layouts in collaboration with the assigned engineer.

 

Job Duties

  • Order Commodity Elevator products per Job requirements using Schindler Engineering Tools
  • Create and Update Layouts per Engineer's requirements using CAD tools (2D and 3D)
  • Create Contract drawings per Engineer's requirements using CAD tools (2D and 3D)
  • Travel - 5%
 

What you bring

Your Experience

 

Education/Experience

  • 2 year Technical Degree - Associate's
  • 2 years AutoCad Experience or Equivalent

 

Engineering Skills (Knowledge to be Learned)

  • Understand and comply to Drafting Processes - ON's
  • Support Field Survey (Custom Mounting Designs)
  • BIM (optional) - Basic Revit Skills (Update PL Models)
  • Perform Architectural/Structural Drawing Reviews
  • FEA Analysis / Beam Analysis -
  • Knowledge of A17.1 Code - pertaining to Layouts
  • Trained in Schindler Safety requirements

 

Engineering Behaviors

  • Communication Skills (Verbal and Email) within Engineering team and Manager
  • Collaboration Skills (Engineering Team and Field)
