Sr Category Manager

 

Your main responsibilities

The Senior Category Manager leads the E&E (Electric/Electronics Products & Components) sourcing category, focusing on cost savings, supply quality, and supplier relationship management, while implementing sourcing strategies like dual sourcing and volume aggregation to strengthen negotiation power. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, developing metrics, and applying best procurement practices, working closely with various departments to achieve continuous cost improvements across the value chain.

  • Lead the sourcing strategy.
  • Responsible for the overall savings projects deliverables and ensure projects milestones are achieved.
  • Develop strategic sourcing initiatives by triggering the sourcing levers: dual source, volume aggregation, demand control, should costing, etc.
  • Investigate all possible strategic actions to reduce supply exposure risks and mitigate inflation.
  • Explore BCC opportunities.
  • Conduct analysis on market, prices and risk development.
  • Support the make vs buy process.
  • Interact with the manufacturing organization in identifying and structuring innovative supplier contracts.
  • Identify mission critical commodities that require scrutiny and planning, including hedging and other risk management tools.
  • Ensure that the required planning and pre-negotiation processes are aligned with the business unit and corporate objectives.
  • Provide regular projects tracking.
